Our mission is simple. We’re here to create local jobs, career pathways and a workplace where people from all backgrounds can thrive.
To do that we’re building one of the greenest commercial laundries in the heart of the Northern Rivers of NSW, offering a premium service to local hotels, motels, and commercial accommodation outlets.

We believe employment has the power to change lives. Yet for some, getting a job isn’t easy. If you’re living with a disability, you’re a former refugee or First Nations person, you’ve experienced homelessness or a mental illness, or spent time in the criminal justice system – it’s much tougher. As a jobs-focused social enterprise it’s our mission to create jobs and career pathways for these individuals, giving them an equal chance to thrive through employment.

Beacon Laundry is a ‘business for good’. We operate just like a regular business, but as a jobs-focused social enterprise our mission is to create jobs for people who are overlooked by the mainstream jobs market. We offer a sustainable commercial laundry service to local hotels, motels and Airbnbs in the region, and instead of taking a profit, we reinvest this back into the business to cover the costs of the wrap-around supports needed to help our employees thrive in the workplace.
