Beacon Laundry is a not-for-profit social enterprise. This means we prioritize people and purpose over profit. When we have initiatives in the works for our team, often we’ll call for support to help bring these to life.
Right now you can get behind our first Christmas@Beacon – a family feast with all the trimmings at our origin location in Bangalow on December 14 to celebrate our team and also help combat loneliness over the festive season.
We have also launched a Beacon Scholarship Fund to raise $$ for personalised training, certifications, and licenses employees need to advance their careers after their time with us.

HAVE YOURSELF A BEACON CHRISTMAS.
This Christmas, we’re trading spin cycles for serving platters to celebrate community and help combat loneliness. On 14 December, we’ll be hosting a ‘Beacon family’ feast with all the trimmings at our origin location in Bangalow. We have an incredible community of people now working with us and we want to recognise this.
To make it a day to remember, we need your help. We’re welcoming donations to bring this to life. With 100+ people around the table, we need everything from turkeys, crackers and chefs, to chairs, decorations and a tree.
This isn’t an easy time for many of our team members, so we’re bringing the spirit of Christmas to them at Beacon. Like all families they’ll be chaos and crackers, and a whole lot of love. We can’t wait.
Beacon Scholarship Fund
Our people are at the core of everything we do. Many of our team members have faced significant barriers to stable employment, including limited access to the education, training, and resources needed for career advancement. Despite these challenges, they’re incredible people – with great resilience, commitment, and a desire to build a better future for themselves and their families.
To support their ambitions, we have established an Employee Scholarship Fund. This fund aims to provide financial assistance for the training, certifications, and licenses employees need to advance their careers after their time with us. Whether it’s gaining a commercial driver’s license, completing a trade certification, or accessing specialised training, this fund will open doors to sustainable career pathways.
